From November 21 to 22, 2023, the localization acceptance work of the double-eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve of the 300,000 tons/year CHPPO unit of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. was carried out at the production site of AFA Flow Control Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AFA") and the acceptance work was a complete success.
The acceptance team is composed of experts from Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhongshen Technology Co., Ltd. and AFA Company. The acceptance product is the localization research and development of the double eccentric semi-ball valve (top-mounted C-type ball valve) for the 300,000 tons/year CHPPO unit of the Phase II project of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Base.
The experts listened to the research and development work report of AFA and the on-site supervision work report of Shanghai Zhongshen Technology Co., Ltd., reviewed the pressure test report of the double eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve of the CHPPO device and other related technical documents, traced the factory manufacturing process documents and testing and inspection data, and witnessed the on-site two-way sealing and strength & pressure test. The product design and manufacturing quality met the expected requirements and was agreed to pass the factory acceptance.
The expert group unanimously agreed that the new top-mounted double-eccentric C-type wear-resistant ball valve independently developed by AFA has reached the international advanced level in terms of performance and quality. It has distinct technical characteristics and performance advantages, filling the gap in the domestic market. At the same time, the product has obvious advantages over imported products in terms of market price, delivery time and after-sales service. It can effectively reduce procurement costs, shorten manufacturing cycles, and achieve fast and convenient after-sales technical services, and will make positive contributions to the development of my country's petrochemical, coal chemical, semiconductor (polysilicon), slurry transportation, low temperature and deep cooling industries.
The success of the factory acceptance of the independently developed product is a recognition of AFA's C-type wear-resistant ball valve products and a full affirmation of AFA's technical strength. This will surely promote the technological innovation capabilities of high-end valves in my country's petrochemical industry and establish firm confidence in realizing the localization of high-end valves as soon as possible.
