Valves are an indispensable component in pressure piping systems and the manufacturing quality of valves affects the safety of the entire system.
According to the relevant requirements of the "Pressure Pipeline Component Manufacturing License Rules" (TSG D2001-2006) and the "Pressure Pipeline Component Type Test Rules" (TSG D7002-2006), the manufacturers that obtain the license for the first time and add items (upgrade) shall prove their ability to manufacture pressure pipeline components that meet the requirements through trial products. For products that require type testing according to safety technical specifications, they must pass the type test. If a manufacturer wants to expand the production range of valves, it must apply for new type test items and obtain the corresponding special equipment type test certificate (pressure pipeline components) before the product can be officially put into production and promoted on the market.
In order to further improve the company's valve manufacturing capabilities and increase the variety and specifications of valve manufacturing, Afa commissioned a third-party inspection agency, Henan Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Inspection Institute, to conduct type tests on two C-type ball valves. The two valves inspected this time are: QC347Y-900LB, NPS24 and QC347Y-1500LB, NPS20 C-type wear-resistant ball valves. After rigorous testing by the inspectors, the two valves produced by our company have successfully passed various harsh tests. The inspection results fully meet the requirements of the "Type Test Rules for Pressure Piping Components" (TSG D7002-2006), and successfully obtained the special equipment type test certificate (pressure piping components).
After this type test is passed, the following models will be successfully covered:
1. Ball valves with nominal pressure ≤35MPa, nominal size ≤600mm, and operating temperature: -29℃～540℃;
2. Ball valves with nominal pressure ≤16MPa, nominal size ≤1200mm, and operating temperature: -46℃～600℃.
